2011 Boat Show in Huntsville Alabama

The Boat Show in Huntsville, Alabama, will be January 14-16, 2011 at Huntsville's Von Braun Center's South Hall. The boat show will feature a seminar on "Boat Trailering" at 6:30 PM Friday and a seminar at 6:00 PM on "Life on the Water" on Friday.

Saturday will provide FREE CHILDREN'S ROD & REELS (while they last) to children 12 and under with paying adult. On Saturday, MEET SpongeBob Square Pants and a seminar at 10:30 there will be an American Boating Course for boat license.

On Sunday kids can take part in "Pirates of the Tennessee River Treasure Hunt" and a Free SpongeBob children's tackle box (while they last) accompanied by adult and meet SpongeBob Square Pant. A seminar at 1:00 pm will be "Boating on Rivers, Locks and Lakes".

Adult admission is $7.

Snow Thunder in Maysville and Ryland Alabama: A truly remarkable event for the area

As we write this post at 11:55 PM, there is a snow thunder storm taking place in Maysville and Ryland, Alabama. The snow is falling so quickly that everything in the area has been covered as with a thick snowy blanket. This is truly a remarkable event for this area. The snow has paralyzed the entire Huntsville and Madison Alabama area with this unusual event as All roads in Madison are impassable. All non emergency travel should be avoided. , the same report states that, "All elevated areas of I565 and Memorial Parkway are closed. Chapman Mountain is closed. " Redstone Arsenal is closed Monday The Weather Channel has cited the event in their newscast this evening.
